Club sports are often not a part of district schools due to a variety of factors, including budget constraints, limited resources, and a lack of emphasis on extracurricular activities. • Lack of Emphasis on Extracurricular Activities: District schools may not place a strong emphasis on extracurricular activities, including club sports. They may focus primarily on academics, neglecting the importance of extracurricular activities in the overall development of students. At ParagonED, we understand the importance of extracurricular activities and have developed a curriculum that allows for some of the components of the club sports to count toward their academic journey.  If a student is involved in a rowing club, they are getting plenty of exercise through their time on the water.  Instead of adding another layer of physical education, ParagonED will work with the coach(es) of the rowing team to incorporate the PE credits through their club sport.

• Limited Flexibility: District schools may not have the flexibility needed to support club sports. Traditional school schedules often do not allow for the flexibility needed to balance both academic and athletic commitments. At ParagonED, we offer a flexible schedule that allows students to attend classes on-site for a portion of the week, while completing the rest of their coursework online. This flexibility ensures that students can balance their academic and athletic commitments without sacrificing one for the other.
